Musings on Peace

Matthew 11:28-30

In what a troubled time we live! In the last 2 weeks alone, our world has been turned upside down. It’s amazing the power and control that something so small can have. Who would have ever thought that the worst thing to happen in our lifetime so far would require a microscope to view it?

It is in such troubling times we are reminded of the incredible, faithful nature of God. How thankful I am to know and serve the God who has ultimate control over everything! How deeply moving it is to be able to turn to an all mighty, all powerful being who loves us! What other religion or world view can claim that their ultimate being loves His people? Yet in Christianity, our God not only loves us but was willing to sacrifice Himself for us just so that we could be in relationship with Him! I know at least for me, in these times of trouble when I am so focused on what’s going on, it’s so easy to look at God for help without remembering, truely remembering, what He has already done. When I remember what He has already done, it makes it a lot easier to trust in what He is doing.

God is Good. God is Love. God is Truth.

And He loves us! Dwell on this for a moment as the chaos unfolds around us.
