John 12:27-28
This was originally written at the start of the year during an extremely tough time with a death in my partners family, trouble at work, health problems and such. It was instrumental in teaching me to throw myself at the feet of Jesus and trust. In light of all that is going on right now and having from the Easter scriptures, it seemed only fitting.
So often when our souls are troubled, we run away or at least beg for it (whatever it is) to be taken away. We cry “save me from that hour”. But what if that ‘hour’ is the purpose that we have come into this hour for? What if when we decide to run away or beg for it to be taken away, we are instead running away from God’s Devine purpose for us? What if, when God doesn’t take away the trial, maybe, we should say “Father, glorify your name.”
It is so easy to run away, but, maybe next time we should hold our ground, throw ourselves completely at the feet and mercy of the Creator & Father and say, “Glorify your name!”.
Trust in God, the God of all love and truth and then hold on!
