John 14:1 – Do not let your hearts be troubled…
Our hearts are so often and so easily troubled, it is easy to forget our hearts only get troubled if we let it. In that spilt second when worries flit across our minds (no matter how big or small), it is our task, nay, our responsibility to decide, “No, I am not going to worry. I believe in God”. While this may sound impossible, or even crazy, it is true since Jesus said it is. He instructs us, if we trust God, we should not let our hearts be troubled.
What a way of life! Being so absorbed in our Saviour’s love that the winds of life can no longer toss us around. As we cling to the rock, that rock holds us fast during the storms.
