How incredible it is that the Lord God, creator and sustainor of everything tells us not to fear because He will help us. It often seems that this idea of God helping us and being with us is thrown around so much in Christian circles that we forget what it really means. We forget that this means, the Being who was able to raise the dead to life, flood (& dry) the whole earth and even rain molten rocks from heaven desires to help us. Us. Feeble, broken us. How utterly incredible is that?! While I’m not sure our earthly brains can comprehend this entirely, I’m sure that dwelling on it is incredibly beneficial. How much easier it is to bear the troubles of this life when you intimately know the power and control of the one who loves you.
