I love this psalm!! Ever since I heard Sons of Korah play this psalm it has meant so much to me!! (Listen here). It is such a beautiful, peaceful and healing song.
I often struggle with anxiety and mental health battles and this psalm brings such comfort. When I am battling just to get through, psalms (like this one) remind me to look up. It’s so easy to get caught up looking in, that we miss the only being who can bring healing and rest. Looking towards the only one who can save us and bring us peace. It truely is a beautiful thing when you take your eyes off the hurt and brokenness in you and turn to the great healer.
The Almighty offers shelter, refuge and peace. He offers comfort and protection. He offers rest. He is the only one who can fully love and heal us.
If you are ever down, flat or needing some encouragement, I highly recommend turning to the psalms. They have changed my life, brought me out of many dark times and very much shaped my relationship with God.
I pray that you can take as much comfort and blessing from this song as I do.
