Oh how I long for this day! Oh how I long to be free from the pain and suffering which we can never escape. The bible says we can not imagine what the Lord has in store for those who love Him and I think this is part of it. Can you genuinely imagine what a world without pain, sorrow or death looks like. What do you do with all those people? How can you experience any feelings when all we know is comparison? Happy is happy because it is compared to sadness. That old concept, if you never know sadness can you truely know happiness? Honestly in this life, I believe this to be true. If you never know the pain of how broken we are, we can never experience the full joy of knowing Jesus. On the other hand, if we only ever know joy as the world defines it, we tend to take it for granted.
It is a strange thing to ponder. No matter how much I wonder, I cannot find a satisfactory understanding of it. In fact, the more I ponder it, the more I believe that it is a beautiful mystery to be revealed on that perfect day when we see Christ face to face.
Come Lord Jesus, come!
