A daily thought ~ walking

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:7 ESV

Where do we walk? While what we believe is vital for salvation, where we walk is also of utmost importance as that is how we live out our faith.

This verse lists two main blessings which come from walking in the light, one, fellowship and two, cleansing from sin and today I’d like to focus one the first one.

Fellowship – when we walk in the light, we drawn to other who also walk in the light. Have you ever noticed how you can almost sense whether or not a person is a Chirstian purely from the Spirit inside them without them having to say anything? Walking in the light allows the Spirit to be an active part of our lives.

Walking correctly before God also tears down our prejudices and any barriers which might separate us from other Christians (although it is important to note here this isn’t a promise to get on with every Christian, Peter and Paul certainly had their difference!).

Let us walk in the light, full of grace and peace.
