A daily thought ~ never ending love

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 ESV

What a wonderful encouragement this verse is!! What I find particularly amazing about this verse is where it is found in the Bible, the book of Lamentations. This book is literally the lament of Israel, well, the lament about Israel and her punishment. In a book which centres around sin, pain, punishment and general sadness, there is hope. That is the beautiful thing about how God works for the faithful, there is always hope. My bible describes Lamentations as the book for the faithful, a book which is real, deep and brutally honest about destruction and pain, yet it turns to redemption and rejoicing.

We can hope, no matter what comes our way, because the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases and His mercies never come to an end. Great is His faithfulness.
