Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord , bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.
Psalm 96:1-2 ESV
What a beautiful image! The whole earth is singing praises to God, telling everyone about His salvation. What a glorious day that will be! While I expectantly look forward to the day when this happens of earth, when every knee bows and when we are around the throne singing glorious praises to our saviour, I also believe it is possible to live this out every day.
What I mean by this, is that there are so many ways we can sing praises to God and tell of His salvation day by day.
Consider worship, the whole community singing praises to God this is one way we can live this verse out now. We can even sing praises to God by ourselves or with our family every morning.
Or else, consider the way we retell stories, the way we speak about our lives and the different troubles and situations we find ourselves in, we can tell people, even strangers or non-christian friends about how God has or is saving us. What a powerful testimony it is when we get the opportunity to let others into our lives and show them the good work God is doing for us.
Finally, consider our personal worship. Not a day goes by when I am not amazed by something God has done or is doing. Let’s take these moments and offer up our own personal praises to God, thanking Him for His salvation and ongoing blessings He fills our lives with. Its amazing how even the simple things, like flowers, hugs or sunsets can cause our hearts to sing His praise.
