Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

What an instruction. Being merciful isn’t easy, nor is it often pleasant, but it is important. Mercy is an underpinning component of us showing God’s love to the people around us. When we show love and make the sacrifices required to show mercy, that is when the world can see we are truly different. It shows that we have a purpose and calling bigger than ourselves, and we are able to extend that to others.
Let us be known as a people of mercy and of love.
